Insulator

2019 08/15

Glass insulator insulator is made of tempered glass insulator. The surface is in a state of compressive prestressing. If cracks and electrical breakdown occur, the glass insulator will break into small pieces by itself, commonly known as "self-explosion." This feature eliminates the need for "zero value" detection of the glass insulator during operation.

The main chain of silicone rubber is composed of a siloxane (Si-O) chain. Since the electronegativity of Si and O on such a bond is greatly different, the polarization structure formed has an ionic bond property. Thus, the bond energy of Si-O is higher than that of C-C bond. In addition,

1. Due to the nature of the ionic bond of the main chain, the ionic properties of the side chain methyl C-H are weakened and are not easily attacked by other molecules, so the chemical stability is good;

2. Since Si does not form double bonds and triple bonds, it is difficult to form a starting point of decomposition of the main chain (for this reason, the Si-C bond is relatively stable), which in turn leads to a more stable main chain of the silicone rubber.

Based on the establishment of the above model. The researchers of CJCELE also established a finite element model for the ice-column insulators and an improved finite element model for the open-field problem of the insulators using KelV, n-transformation. These models have certain guiding significance for solving the electric field problem of ice-covered insulators. However, these models not only have to be improved in modeling, such as not considering the change of electric field distribution when the arc occurs, the conductivity of water film and the effect of ice coating on the electric field distribution of ceramic insulators; It is only the model of the post insulator. In the calculation of the electric field along the surface of the ice-suspended insulator series composite insulator, the electric field calculation model of the wide 3-1 ice-covered insulator can not be simply used in summer.

Pillar insulators are mainly used for insulation and mechanical fixing of busbars and electrical equipment in power plants and substations. In addition, post insulators are often used as part of electrical equipment such as disconnectors and circuit breakers. Among the post insulators, it can be further divided into a pin post insulator and a bar post insulator. Pin-type post insulators are mostly used in low-voltage distribution lines and communication lines, and rod-shaped post insulators are mostly used in high-voltage substations.

Insulators can be divided into suspension insulators and post insulators according to different installation methods. According to the different insulation materials used, they can be divided into porcelain insulators, glass insulators and composite insulators (also called composite insulators). According to different voltage levels, they can be divided. Low-voltage insulators and high-voltage insulators; according to the different environmental conditions used, the pollution-resistant insulators used in the contaminated areas are derived; DC insulators are derived according to the type of voltage used; there are various special-purpose insulators, such as insulated cross-arms, Semiconductor glaze insulators and tensioning insulators for distribution, bobbin insulators and wiring insulators. In addition, according to the different possibility of breakdown of the insulating member, it can be divided into two types: the A type, that is, the non-breakable type insulator and the type B, which can be the breakdown type insulator.

With glass insulators, it is possible to eliminate the periodic periodic preventive test of the insulator during operation. This is because every damage to the tempered glass will cause damage to the insulator, which is easy for the operator to find when patrolling. When the insulator is damaged, the glass fragments near the steel cap and the iron foot are stuck, and the mechanical strength of the remaining portion of the insulator is sufficient to prevent the insulator string from breaking off. The self-breaking rate of glass insulators is one of the important indicators to measure product quality, and it is also the quality basis for the evaluation of bidding and bidding in current transmission projects.
